Petworth Festival: MILOŠ: The Voice of the Guitar

MILOŠ (guitar) with Ensemble7

“More extraordinary by far, however, was the way a single guitarist… could shrink the (Albert) Hall’s cavernous space into something so close.” The Guardian

A thrilling finalé to the 2019 festival as Petworth welcomes “the hottest guitarist in the world” (Sunday Times). Firmly positioned as a leading exponent of his instrument, Miloš Karadaglić continues to top record charts and delight audiences worldwide. MILOŠ has appeared in recitals at almost all the major concert halls and festivals around the globe and has worked with many of the world’s leading orchestras and conductors. He is also the first ever classical guitarist to have performed a solo recital at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

MILOŠ joins us with his virtuoso colleagues from Ensemble7 in a performance which displays the extraordinary impact the guitar has had on 300 years of music. Composers include Bach, Boccherini, Granados, Falla, Rodrigo, Piazzolla, and Villa-Lobos, and the concert will end with a set of great works by George Harrison, John Lennon and Paul McCartney. An unmissable treat.

“… a sleight of hand that makes Karadaglić not only a magician, but a serious and accomplished musician.” The Independent
