Jon Pilgrim began learning the piano aged 7, and began his experience of sacred music as a chorister at St Leonard’s Church, Hythe, Kent, where he later became organ scholar. He read music at the University of Southampton, passing with first-class honours, and during his degree was appointed as both the university organ scholar and Senior Organ Scholar at Romsey Abbey. Before leaving for university, he achieved an Associate of Trinity College London (ATCL) recital diploma on the piano, which he passed with distinction. He was appointed as Organ Scholar at Bradford Cathedral in September 2017, and as Assistant Organist at Brecon Cathedral in September 2018.
Chichester Cathedral’s Lunchtime Concert series is self-supporting, and thrives through the generosity of its audiences. While there is no charge for admission, we suggest a minimum donation of £3 per person, with Gift Aid applied if possible.
In line with our hopes to keep everyone safe and well, we will be maintaining socially distanced seating until further notice. As such, with the subsequent reduced capacity, we ask that audiences book their places in advance through Ticketsource. We will have a list of names that have booked on the door: you do not need to bring the tickets with you.
