The rehearsal will run from 2.30pm with a performance at 6.30pm. There will be a break for tea and cake before the performance. Music will include some of the great choruses from Handel’s Messiah, including the Hallelujah Chorus, as well as the composer’s Zadok the Priest, Parry’s I was Glad and David Fanshawe’s rousing Lord’s Prayer from African Sanctus. Music will be provided, but if you have a copy of the Novello edition of Messiah it would be helpful to bring it along. See you there, and do encourage your friends to come along and join us for a day of rousing singing. Concert dress not required.
