Los Ladrones

“Cups & Saucers” is an 1876 curtain-raiser by George Grossmith, Jnr.:

There is an understanding between Mrs. Worcester and General Deelah, each of whom has a collection of old china. However, it turns out that neither collection is quite what it is “cracked” up to be, and after an initial disappointment the two decide that they really do like each other better than their old china. They agree to live together and (presumably) get married.

“A Paper Fan” is a solo with chorus from “A Chinese Honeymoon”, a 1901 musical by George Dance & Howard Talbot.

Los Ladrones perform concert extracts from Gilbert & Sullivan works, including solos, duets, trios & quartets, from “The Sorcerer”, “The Mikado”, “H.M.S. Pinafore”,”Utopia Ltd.”,”The Yeomen of The Guard”,”Ruddigore”, “The Gondoliers”, “Iolanthe”, “Patience” & “The Pirates of Penzance”.

Includes interval refreshments.
