The Dolce String Quartet was formed eight years ago to explore the wonderful string quartet repertoire and present it to audiences throughout the area. They have also collaborated with other musicians including Geoffrey Holroyde (organ), Karen Kingsley (piano), Rob Blanken (clarinet), Malcolm Keeler and Portsmouth Baroque Choir, John Price (organ) and the Portsmouth Cathedral Singers, and Phil Hickman (recorder).

The quartet has been coached by Brian Howells (Bournemouth Sinfonietta), Christopher Wellington (Zorian, Amici and Rasumovsky String Quartets) and members of the Brodsky Quartet.

All the members of the quartet are extremely active on the music scene in Hampshire and Sussex, playing with many local orchestras and smaller ensembles.

Elizabeth Cox, Violin
Veronica Price, Violin
Lilias Lamont, Viola
