Emma Halnan first came to prominence as woodwind category winner of BBC Young Musician 2010. She has gone on to perform at major venues worldwide, and has appeared as concerto soloist with orchestras such as the European Union Chamber Orchestra, London Mozart Players, and Welsh Sinfonia. Emma also won the Sir Karl Jenkins/Arts Club Classical Music Award 2016, and the Sussex Prize for Woodwind (Royal Overseas League Competition 2019). She is a “Making Music” Philip & Dorothy Green Young Artist 2018-20, and is a City Music Foundation artist. Emma was principal flute of the EUYO 2014-16. She has also freelanced with orchestras including the RTÉ NSO, the BBC SSO, and ENO. Emma studied at the Royal Academy of Music with William Bennett and Kate Hill, and afterwards privately with Robert Winn. You find out more about Emma at her website www.emmahalnan.co.uk

Daniel King Smith has given concerts all over the world as both soloist and accompanist. He has been broadcast on both BBC TV/Radio in the UK and NHK TV/Radio in Japan, and has recorded a number of CDs. He has frequently been a featured Solo Classical Artist on Cruise lines. Accompaniment and chamber music are a major part of Daniel’s life, having held staff accompanist posts at both Royal College of Music and Royal Academy of Music Junior Departments and at the Purcell School. He regularly accompanies auditions, lessons, masterclasses and end of year recitals at the London conservatoires as well as being official accompanist for the Countess of Munster Trust.
