A one-time only opportunity to watch Opera Brava’s ‘The Barber of Seville’ in the stunning setting of the Weald & Downland Living Museum.

This fantastic production by Bronek Pomorski brings out the Champagne Fizz of the music and will capture your heart as Count Almaviva aided by his good friend Figaro manages to woo his love Rosina away from her wicked guardian Dr Bartolo.

Thousands of people saw this work when it toured the country last year and many have asked to see it again. Written in three weeks, Rossini’s masterpiece is one of the wittiest and most immediately appealing comic operas in the repertoire today and is as fresh to the ear now as when it first burst upon its Italian audiences in 1816.

Opera Brava in its 30th year is Britain’s leading touring company. Their production of ‘The Barber of Seville’ is performed by professional and experienced national and international opera singers who have worked with major companies such as; English National Opera and Covent Garden. The performance will be sung in English.

This is an outdoor event so please bring a rug and a picnic, or there will be food and drink available to buy from the Waterside Cafe.
