University of Chichester Cello Weekend is a two-day course organised and coordinated by Professor Laura Ritchie.
All music is arranged to suit participants’ individual levels, and everyone comes together to form a fantastic cello-orchestra that performs throughout the two days. The course is open to cellists of all ages and abilities. The schedule includes workshops, masterclass sessions, large-group rehearsals, and chamber music opportunities.
The Cello Weekend is an opportunity for cellists keen to develop their performing, skills, technique, and musical appreciation to come together for a remarkable weekend of music-making. There is a gala concert to finish the course on Sunday at 4:30 pm that features the participant cello-orchestra. This year’s music ranges from arrangements of popular hits to Bach to a contemporary ‘gamified’ piece of music by Rebecca Askew.
Once you have booked please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your booking reference. University cellists who assist with organisation will have their fee waived.
