A Celebration of Brahms at St. Peter’s

The ever-popular music of Johannes Brahms will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Church, Petersfield with the welcome return of Angela Zanders (piano), Rob Blanken (clarinet) and Mikhail Lezdkan (cello), in a concert of three of the composer’s best-loved chamber works.

On this 125th anniversary of Brahms’ death, Mikhail and Angela will perform the beautiful Sonata for Cello and Piano in E Minor followed by the performance of two magnificent autumnal works from the composer’s final years: the Sonata for Clarinet and Piano in E Flat Major and the Trio in A Minor, composed after hearing the extraordinary playing of clarinettist, Richard Mühlfeld.

Admission is free with a retiring collection and refreshments will be available in the interval.

CDs will be available in aid of DEC for Ukraine.
