Simon Dinsdale – Organist

Simon is a former Organ Scholar of Chichester Cathedral where he accompanied the world-renowned choir regularly during the daily sung services in the cathedral.  Whilst there he studied organ with the cathedral organist, Alan Thurlow and the late David Sanger.

Simon has broadcast on BBC TV, BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio Berkshire and Classic FM and performed with the international organ virtuoso, the late Carlo Curley.  He has given first performances of works by Cecilia McDowell and Bob Chilcott.

He is currently Organist and Director of Music at The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.  He has appeared as organist with the London Welsh Male Voice Choir and is organist for the Reading-based choirs Tamesis, Reading Festival Chorus, Erlegh Cantors and the South Berkshire Singers.  Away from Reading, he performs regularly with the Sarum Consort Singers, the Farrant Singers (both based in Salisbury), Avebury Vocal Ensemble (Marlborough) and The Harry Ensemble.

Martin Elliott – Conductor

Needing little introduction to Selsey audiences as founder of its newly-formed chamber choir, co-leader of the Selsey Gramophone Society and music director of the town’s Jubilee contribution “Shifting Shingle” in 2022, Martin has had a long and varied career in the professional world of singing. Trained at Westminster Abbey, Christ Church, Oxford and the Guildhall School of Music, he formed several vocal groups for UK and international performances, specialising in baroque and contemporary music, while building a career as a singing teacher. Along with European appearances, he created special relationships with arts organizations in New Zealand, Australia and Canada, performing and giving lectures and masterclasses. His ambition is to run an international music festival and masterclasses in Selsey’s very own Pavilion Theatre.
