Chichester Music Society: Miriam Teppich (violin) & Pavlos Carvalho (cello)

Read a review.

After their highly acclaimed trio recital earlier in the year (including a passionate and virtuosic performance of Ravel’s Piano Trio in A Minor), Miriam Teppich and Pavlos Carvalho (pictured) make a welcome return to play wonderful duets by Ravel and Kodaly together with other duet and solo pieces.

Miriam Teppich, violin, has won several awards and has a prestigious career as soloist, chamber musician and orchestral leader. She plays regularly with Pavlos Carvalho, cello, in Ensemble Reza, a chamber group much loved by CMS.

Pavlos has been a prize winner in several international music competitions and also has a demanding programme of solo, chamber and orchestral engagements and recordings. In September 2020 he gave CMS a much-appreciated lecture/recital on the Cello Suites of J S Bach. He is also involved in several outreach projects regularly giving masterclasses and workshops.
