In high summer we are all drawn to the sea, and the Chichester Singers concert in the Cathedral on Sat June 17th 2023 celebrates this, with Songs of the Sea and Songs of the Fleet by the great late 19th-century English composer Stanford together with A Drop of Nelson’s Blood by contemporary composer Ian Assersohn. Ian’s work is based on rollicking traditional sea shanties, with all the vibrant energy and fun they entail, and the choir will be joined for this concert by internationally-renowned baritone Gareth Brynmor John as soloist.

Tickets are £30 to £10 and are available from this link.

The Chichester Singers is a choir of approximately 140 singers and work with professional musicians to produce classical choral music to a very high standard. Our concerts are usually held in Chichester Cathedral.
