Enjoy an evening of classical guitar music with Linda Kelsall-Barnett and Zoe Barnett, in the wonderful setting of Christ Church Chichester.
A wide range of repertoire will include works played on nineteenth-century guitars and more recent compositions on modern instruments.
Linda Kelsall-Barnett is a regular contributor to the Festival of Chichester playing her historic and modern guitars. Based in Chichester, she teaches guitar locally and performs at many events and also conducts the West Sussex Guitar Orchestra. Her programme will include works by Catharina Pratten, Guilio Regondi, Dale Kavanagh and Roland Dyens.
Zoe Barnett is a student at the Royal College of Music, London. She has won many prizes including the West Sussex Youth Music Award, the Kathleen Bryan’s Memorial Award and Arun Young Musician. She has performed solo guitar in Beijing Concert Hall and Shanghai Grand Theatre while on tour with the National Children’s Choir and made her concerto debut in March 2019 when she enjoyed playing Fantasia para un Gentilhombre by Rodrigo with the Solent Symphony Orchestra. Zoe’s Soirée programme will include works by Ponce and the Polish composer Alexander Tansman.
