Petworth Festival: The Queen’s Six

Based at Windsor Castle, members of The Queen’s Six make up part of the Lay Clerks of St George’s Chapel, whose homes lie within the castle walls. The chapel choir itself sings at the eight weekly services, as well as at private and state occasions – often before the Royal Family. Individually the members of the ensemble have performed with many of the country’s most prestigious vocal ensembles but together they have honed an individual style and approach that sees them reaching beyond the repertoire of the choir stalls.

Expect superb medieval chant, renaissance polyphony and madrigals – and also a sequence of more upbeat and contemporary arrangements.
