Part of a new music series.
We will be welcoming Elena Toponogova who is an exciting London-based concert pianist whose repertoire is primarily comprised of Russian music with a particular focus on the music of Nikolai Medtner. Elena’s programme at the Menuhin Room will feature Medtner but also Tchaikovsky, Bortkiewicz, and – of course – Rachmaninov.
Elena recently won the prize for the best performance of a Prelude and Fugue by JS Bach in the Nuova Coppa International Piano Competition, Italy. She has performed across Europe and at the prestigious Rachmaninov Hall of the Moscow State Conservatoire. Last year, Elena appeared in a concert for peace along with other musicians from Ukraine and Europe. She is also proud to be part of the Live Music Now initiative that brings live music to care settings and hospitals across the UK.
Tickets are £15. They may also be paid for on the door (cash/card) by reservation – if you are not pre-booking online, please contact Andrew McVittie saying how many seats you would like to reserve so that he can plan seating, etc.
This is a one-hour performance (no interval).
The Lily & Lime Cafe will be open throughout for light refreshments.
