Read a review.

Angela Zanders (Piano), Mikhail Lezdkan (Cello), Catherine Lawlor (Violin)
Shostakovich Piano Trio

This is the third in a new music series.

The performance begins at 12.30 (doors open at noon, unreserved seating). Total running time: 60 minutes. No interval.

Angela Zanders has a passion for inspiring people’s love and understanding of classical music through concerts, lecture-recitals and teaching. This special lecture-recital will see Angela share her thoughts and knowledge about Shostakovich’s Piano Trio. The work will also be performed in full by Angela and fellow musicians, Mikhail Lezdkan (cello) and Catherine Lawlor (violin).

Angela has been giving lecture recitals for over 20 years. Her lectures are designed to set composers and their music into a historical context and often draw on readings from the letters and diaries of the composers themselves. An event not to be missed by music lovers and those looking to widen their appreciation.

Tickets £8.50.

Tickets may also be paid for on the door (cash/card) by reservation – if you are not pre-booking online, please contact Andrew McVittie saying how many seats you would like to reserve so that he can plan seating, etc.

Light refreshments will be available for purchase before and after the performance in the Lily & Lime Café. Why not treat yourself to a warming hot chocolate or a delicious piece of cake (or both)?
