Barcarolle Op. 10 No 3, in G Minor
Prelude Op. 3 No 2, in C# minor
Fantasy-Sonata Op. 168, in D Minor
Balladyna Op. 25
This Romantic programme, performed on the Menuhin Room’s Steinway piano, features music by Sergei Rachmaninoff, Joachim Raff, and Lubomir Rozycki and goes full circle – but both begins and ends with “love”. As well as established repertoire, this special one-off performance also offers a chance to explore some lesser known musical territory which is now beginning to reach wider audiences through Valentina’s dedication and highly acclaimed recordings.
Tickets are £15. They may also be paid for on the door (cash/card) by reservation – if you are not pre-booking online, please contact Andrew McVittie saying how many seats you would like to reserve so that he can plan seating, etc.
This is a one-hour performance (no interval). Afterwards, Valentina will also be giving a masterclass for local musicians at 2.15pm. Concert-goers may also attend this masterclass as part of the ticket price. The Lily & Lime Cafe will be open throughout for light refreshments.
