The Renaissance Choir: Poulenc’s “Gloria” and Schofield’s “Stream of Life”

The programme will include Poulenc’s Gloria and Schofield’s Stream of Life, a work for unaccompanied choir by Hampshire-based composer Ian Schofield, which we commissioned for our 40th anniversary in July 2016. It also contains William Byrd’s Ne Irascaris, Gitanjali Chants by Craig Hilla Johnson and John Cage’s 4/2.

Tickets: £15 for adults, £2 for students and under 25s.

Parking is available at Fratton Railway Station, Selbourne Terrace, PO1 5AW for £2 (all day Saturday rate), around 10 minutes’ walk away. Or park in one of the adjacent streets.

The Renaissance Choir comprises around 34 singers that puts the beautiful music of the Renaissance period at the heart of its repertoire.
