“Flights of the mind” – a celebration of the life of Richard Williamson, with music by the Stradivarius Piano Trio

Celebrating the life and poetry of Sussex naturalist Richard Williamson – Sussex’s very own David Attenborough and Chichester Observer columnist. Join poets, musicians and nature lovers to share Richard’s newly published last poems. Features music by the renowned Stradivarius Piano Trio and South Downs poets James Simpson, Stephanie Norgate and guests evoking Flights of the Mind in the beautiful heart of the South Downs National Park.

Stradivarius Piano Trio is an internationally recognised virtuoso ensemble which has performed extensively across the globe taking their engaging warmth and enthusiasm to share their music to Asia including holding a residency in Macau University. Stradivarius Piano Trio celebrates nature, diversity and our communities which we bring together at concerts in the county’s great estates and churches.

For this evening’s concert, we bring together two of the county’s great composers: Ralph Vaughan Williams, who wrote The Lark Ascending in Horsham, and Edward Elgar, another renowned Sussex resident.
