Pianist and Chichester University lecturer, Angela Zanders, will be starting another of her popular Music Appreciation courses at the New Park Centre, Chichester on Monday 29th April, entitled ‘Composers and Concepts’ (April 29th; 13th, 20th May; 10th, 17th, 24th June; 1st July).
Angela started the Chichester Music Circle in 2017 with over 30 years’ experience of teaching music appreciation to people who love classical music and want to increase their understanding and enjoyment of it.
‘Composers and Concepts’ is an 8- week course taking place on Mondays at 1.30pm – 3.30pm (with a break for tea/coffee) in the Studio at the New Park Centre and explores how several well-known and less familiar classical composers created their own, unique musical styles and language. To illustrate her lectures, Angela uses PowerPoint slides and videos as well as demonstrating at the piano. “My object in running these classes is to try to bring music alive for people by explaining the historical context, the lives of the composers and how the music works without complicated, technical language,” said Angela.
The cost of the course is £72, payable in advance. To book your place or to enquire about further details, please contact Angela on Tel:02392 598541 / 07582537123 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
