Chichester Music Society

Chichester Music Society (CMS), formally Funtington Music Group, meets nine times a year, in the evening and usually on the second Wednesday of the month, at the Chapel of the Ascension at the University of Chichester on the Bishop Otter Campus, not far from the centre of the City of Chichester.

The Society’s annual musical programme is full of variety and includes concert appearances by well-known artists and ensembles, illustrated lecture-recitals and guest appearances by international celebrities.

CMS has developed a most enjoyable and mutually rewarding relationship with the University and is grateful for the support it receives both from the Vice-Chancellor and the Head of Music, Ben Hall. In return, the Society provides the concert opportunity and the prizes for the popular Annual Student Showcase Concert, as well as bursaries for deserving students.

Society members pay an annual fee for the programme of nine events and receive a generous discount on the individual ticket price.

Visitors are welcome to any meeting. Tickets at £15 are available at the door from 7.15pm or may be pre-booked on 01243 378900.
